Dear Parish Members,  Friends of the Parish, and Visitors;

We pray that all of you are in good health and we pray for strength and courage as we deal with covid-19. We thank all of you for precautions that you have taken to reduce your chances of contracting covid-19 and reducing its spread.

Covid-19 has had an impact on all of us including services and activities at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor Parish.

Following the two communiques issued by His Eminence, Metropolitan Yurij, Archbishop of Winnipeg and the Central Eparchy,  Metropolitan of Canada, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, Church Services at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor Parish have been suspended until further notice. Meetings, social events, and activities  have either been cancelled or postponed. Of note in Metropolitan Yurij’s second communique is that funerals will be conducted from funeral homes or chapels at cemeteries and that only emergency baptisms will take place. Should emergencies occur requiring the services of Fr. Yuriy Suchevan, please contact Fr. Yurij at 780-885-8143 or by email  at [email protected]. For other matters, you may contact Joan Fedorow at the office (780-469-1463) or by email at [email protected] or you may contact Ernest Skakun at 780-434-0543 or by email at  [email protected] or [email protected].

We will resume our Church services, meetings, and activities upon receiving direction from Metropolitan Yuriy and/or our Eparchial Bishop, His Grace, Bishop Ilarion.

Together, and following the directives of health officials, governments, and  of our Mother Church, we shall overcome all this.

May all of God’s Blessings be upon you.

In Christ,
Fr. Yurij Suchevan, Parish Priest; Ernest N. Skakun,  Parish President
